As hot as strikeout props and home run bets have been lately, the Look of the Day series hasn't followed suit. We're due for a hot streak, so let's start one on Tuesday night with our favorite prop bet for Indiana Pacers-Boston Celtics Game 1.
The Pacers take on the Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday night, and we're interested in fading Tyrese Haliburton for a number of reasons.
For one, Haliburton has been extremely passive in Game 1s this postseason. In the first round against the Milwaukee Bucks, he scored only nine points on 4-7 shooting in Game 1. He followed that up with just six points on 2-6 shooting in Game 1 against the New York Knicks. The young point guard is using these opening games to feel out the defense and formulate a plan for the rest of the series. He hasn't been aggressive enough to warrant this high of a points prop.
Haliburton also struggled against the Celtics this season. In Indiana's three games against Boston in 2024, Haliburton went a combined 13-38 (34.2 percent) from the field and 4-17 (23.5 percent) from three. He averaged only 12.3 points in those games and went under 19.5 in all three.
The Celtics have the ability to throw multiple rangy defenders at Haliburton and force him to get the ball out of his hands. Boston also ranks fourth in the NBA in opponent three-point percentage (35.1 percent).
This number is so high because Haliburton is coming off a 26-point performance in Game 7 against the Knicks, but he's gone under this number in eight of his 13 playoff games this year.
